Starting this month, we’re introducing a new monthly event: Pinball Frenzy! Last year we hosted our first Pinball Frenzy in October, and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to bring it back. This monthly tournament is open to everyone who is interested in pinball. It doesn’t matter whether it’s your first time playing or if you’re an experienced player.

We will hold this event every third Thursday of the month. There are no big prizes. Just plenty of bragging rights.

Pinball Frenzy is a fast-paced pinball tournament format. Here’s how it works:

You try to play as many rounds of pinball as possible. A big screen will show when it’s your turn, who your opponent is, and which machine you’ll be playing on.

At the counter, there will be a laptop where the winner of each round can submit the result. The winner gains 1 point and the loser gets –1 point. This process repeats until the time is up. The top 2 players will then compete in the finals.

In short

• A big screen at the venue will show who you are playing against and on which machine.

• If you win, you gain 1 point; if you lose, you get –1 point.

• If your opponent does not show up within 3 minutes, you automatically win the round.

• If you win a round, go to the scorekeeper’s laptop and enter the result.

• Check the big screen to see when your next match starts.

Rules

• Do not touch a pinball machine if you are not the current player.

• If you are 3 minutes late, you lose that round.

• Extra balls may not be played and must be launched at maximum power.

• If you are Player 2 on the last ball and have already won, please drain your ball to keep the format moving.

• Nudging is allowed, but not in a destructive manner toward the machine.

• If a machine crashes and you lose your amazing high score. unfortunately, that’s tough luck. Try again!

We reserve the right to cancel the event if there are not enough participants. A minimum of 5 players is required to run the tournament.
